If I were to ask ten veteran home cooks what the most important tool is in their kitchen, I expect I would get twenty different answers. And I expect I would disagree with all of them.
The most important tool in your kitchen is a home fire extinguisher. Ironically, it’s one that I hope you will never use.
As we enter the holiday season and hang out with family and friends, this is a great time to make sure you’re putting safety first — for you and for them. Buy a home fire extinguisher, and put it somewhere in your kitchen that is both visible (you may not be the one grabbing for it) and easily accessible. They are inexpensive and worth every damn penny. While you’re at it, buy three: put one in your garage, and one next to your washer and dryer.
Peace, love, and biscuits,
