Peanut sauce is the opposite of yesterday’s cashew chicken. Peanut sauce is badass. Strong flavor, thick sauce, it refuses to be upstaged by any other ingredient so don’t even bother trying. It’s also easier and faster to make than you might think, partly because almost all recipes use peanut butter rather than processing peanuts from scratch.
The fun of making peanut sauce is that it’s infinitely customizable by adding flavor agents that contribute subtle nuances to the sauce without directly competing with the peanuts. Spice it up. Add some tang. Bring out the sweetness. Try adding a pinch of salt to punch up the flavor even more. It’s all fair game.
Peace, love, and biscuits,
Kevin
