I’m a huge fan of carb-heavy breakfasts (paired with a big helping of protein) at the beginning of an active day. I’m also a fan of browned potatoes. Hash browns is the best of both of these. They are easy to make, very inexpensive, and super tasty. You can experiment with all sorts of seasonings until you find your perfect combination (though quite frankly, they are great with just salt and pepper too).
The key to good hash browns is to squeeze out as much liquid as you can from the grated potatoes before you start cooking them. You can use cheesecloth to do this, but a strainer bag works even better (and they cost next to nothing on Amazon).
Recipe here.
Enjoy,
Kevin
