Many people will tell you that cooking rice is difficult and stress-inducing: you must rinse it first, carefully measure all of the ingredients, simmer it at just the right temperature for precisely the right amount of time, and you can’t even check on it because you must keep it covered at all times to trap in the steam.
Ignore them.
Cooking rice is simple, fast, and easy. No rinsing, no careful measurements, no covered pot. The trick: cook it like pasta, in a big pot of water.

Make sure to check out the tips for flavoring your rice. My favorite easy hack: add a tablespoon of curry powder to the water while you’re boiling it.
Enjoy!
